Recognized and endorsed by medical and psychosocial experts across the nation, Casting for Recovery remains committed to providing a holistic and empowering approach to support women on their journey to recovery.

Why I love It

As both a dedicated nurse and an avid fly fisherwoman, my love and support for Casting for Recovery run deep. Witnessing firsthand the physical and emotional toll that breast cancer takes on women during my nursing career, I appreciate the unique approach this organization offers in fostering healing. The gentle motion of fly casting, tailored as a therapeutic tool for enhancing mobility, aligns seamlessly with my understanding of the importance of physical well-being. Beyond that, as someone who finds solace and rejuvenation in the art of fly fishing, I recognize the profound impact connecting with nature can have on one’s emotional resilience. Casting for Recovery beautifully combines my professional knowledge and personal passion, making it a cause that I not only support but wholeheartedly believe in as it brings healing, empowerment, and a renewed sense of joy to the lives of women affected by breast cancer.
